This course is a fit if…

This course is right for you if you’re a nature photographer eager to learn how to craft engaging photo stories so you can…

✨ Boost your photography skills: Let’s turn your hobby into mastery. Crafting photo stories refines your composition and visual storytelling prowess.

✨ Power up your portfolio: Having a collection of stand-alone images is one thing. But a portfolio that shows off complete stories puts you on another level as a photographer. A diverse range of photo stories in your portfolio showcases your creative adaptability.

✨ Spark emotional connections: Photo stories help you connect more deeply with the places and species you love. Plus, photo stories elicit powerful emotions, bringing your audience closer to you and the subjects you capture. It’s a win-win for everyone!

✨ Teach the world: Use photo stories to enlighten viewers about our planet’s wondrous species, habitats, and phenomena.

✨ Raise awareness, inspire action, and promote conservation: Turn your passion into purpose. Use photo stories to raise awareness about lesser-known species, ecosystems or important community issues. A compelling photo story can inspire viewers to take action towards conservation.

✨ Share your journey: No one wants to keep the amazing scenes and experiences they’ve had all to themselves! Photo stories allow you to share personal experiences and anecdotes in a way that draws in viewers and keeps them begging for more.

✨ Open doors to publishing and exhibits: Dream of seeing your photos in magazines or on the walls of a gallery? Photo stories catch the eye of publications and exhibitions, opening up avenues you’ve only dreamed of.

✨ Cash in on creativity: Let your creativity pay off, or at least pay for itself. High-quality photo stories can become an income source through publishing in magazines, exhibitions, book publications, and more.

✨ Leave your mark: Your photo stories can be your enduring legacy, immortalizing the scenes you’ve captured.

What My Students Say About Their Learning Experience…

“The growth that I’ve seen out of myself and my work has been huge. Storytelling was not even in my vocabulary before… I was looking for just the wildlife aspects, but now I’m looking for those elements that make it different and make it a story… I am not exaggerating when I say it has changed my life.” – Jules J

“I had no previously published work – text or photo. I thought, how does somebody with zero experience and a full-time job get started in this? And now I have my first conservation photo story accepted for publication. The course has paid for itself in less than a year!” – Kyle G

“This course has blown-my mind. Every element is spectacular. I’ve learned so much that’s helped not only improve my photography, but also really build up my confidence. This course has been the best investment I’ve made in photography, aside from my gear.” – Shari R

“I’m experiencing a lot more fun in my photography and at a deeper level which I didn’t have before, and am finding more and more to be curious about. I’ve grown to think more creatively with my photography. The course has opened up all these possibilities for me and gives my photography a purpose I’m super excited about!”  Susan W

Learn from a Professional Photographer & Photo Editor

Hi, I’m Jaymi Heimbuch

I’ve been a professional wildlife conservation photographer for 15+ years, and am senior photo editor for nature-focused publications.

And in my years in the field of nature photography, one thing is crystal clear: The power of photo stories is undeniable. Photo stories can do so much more than a single image, helping you express yourself, connect with your audience, and make a positive impact on the world.

Equal to my passion of pursuing stories is my joy of teaching others and helping YOU attain your greatest goals.

I am all about building strategies that minimize overwhelm, spiraling, and stagnation so you can gain momentum. Because what you do with your photography talents means the world to us all (literally).

I’ve had the honor of helping my students tackle the challenges and break through barriers in how they approach a story, how they approach their image creation, and importantly, how they think about themselves as purpose-driven nature photographers.

Pulling from my love of structure and organization, and my passion for teaching conservation visual storytelling, I’ve crafted a system that will help you get out of the thought spiral and into the field making waves.
