Meet Your Instructor

Sebastian Kennerknecht is an award-winning wildlife and conservation photographer with over fifteen years of experience visually covering wildlife and environmental issues internationally, focusing in particular on elusive wild cats.

His in-depth knowledge of building and using highly customized DSLR camera traps, along with conventional photographic techniques, has helped him capture high-quality editorial photographs, time-lapses, videos, and web content featured in and by the New York Times, Washington Post, BBC Wildlife, Smithsonian, The Economist, Science, Conservation International, and more.

And he brings that knowledge directly to you, breaking down his skills into simple, straightforward steps you can easily follow.

Through this interactive live online workshop, Sebastian guides you through the details of remote camera photography so that you can capture beautiful and captivating images of animals, whether they’re in your backyard or off in remote areas.

Here’s the fine print in large, because we believe in clarity.

No refunds for this workshop will be granted for any reason. Space is extremely limited, which means that if you decide to take one of the spots, it’s yours, even if you do not attend.

The sessions will be recorded, so you’ll still learn a TON from watching the recordings even weeks after the live workshop is over. You’ll have 60 days of access to the recordings on the Academy’s community platform and can rewatch as many times as you’d like.

Also, this workshop does not cover the basics of how to use a DSLR camera. We’re focusing on gear, set-up and settings for a full camera trapping kit (that includes using a DSLR).

Beginners are absolutely welcome, and you’ll get immense value from the workshop, even if you’re just starting out. However, if you’re looking for instruction on the technical details of using a DSLR camera, this isn’t the workshop for you.

Again, this workshop will be recorded for distribution to future students, so by registering, you’re giving the thumbs up to being recorded.

If you’re not sure if this workshop is a fit for you, simply reach out at help@conservationvisuals.com and we’ll get back to you right away.
